What I love about coaching

and a Very Happy Valentines to you!

We're not doing much of the "have to do" this year but I've found myself reflective on the theme of love and the way it comes through in so many different ways.  In a business perspective, I love so many elements of what I do as a coach - here's just a few.

What do you love about your business?

I love...

• Clients who get it
• Clients who are excited about taking the next step and work with me to help them to get them there more effectively
• Learning more about business every day
• Learning more about who I am as a coach everyday
• Learning more about learning and supervision
• Being able to work for myself rather than someone else
• Being able to set my own working hours and working time
• My fiance knowing how much I love what I do and what potential is there
• Being able to write as part of my marketing strategy
• The chance to connect with more and more coaches
• The sense of joy at an "aha" moment
• When the big tasks, the most important tasks get done

How do you make decisions?

There was an interesting post today "Instinctive decisions may be better than conscious choices" in the Daily Telegraph online.

What evidence do you have about the different decisions you make?  I know some of the biggest decisions I make are from heart/ instinct rather than from a factual basis, although I usually do a check to ensure that my "gut" reaction makes sense from a factual perspective.  I looked at only 2 houses before I bought my house.  I knew when it happened that I'd met someone special.

Creating some quiet time can help you carve out the space to listen to your intuition as well as the fact based decisions in your life.  It's listening so you can really hear.  After all, that's one of the joys of coaching to create a space where the client can hear all of what is happening for them, conscious and unconscious.
