This is Post 8 in the series of aligning marketing your coaching business with your coaching core competencies
Creating
Awareness:
As a coach marketer, you want to create
awareness for your products and services out there in the market which means
getting comfortable with sharing useful resources and information with your
niche.
I build awareness through writing articles, blogging, and most recently through social media which fits with the coaching ethos I have of sharing and connecting – such as twitter and Linked in.
Part of your role is to be a human Google for
your client group – sharing what is useful and will help move them
forwards.
Building awareness of different solutions and how you specifically can be a part of that solution. The different options you have will allow the client to choose the one which is right for them.
Questions to ask yourself:
- What sources of information do you use to find out more about what your clients want, what they are interested in, what solutions there are?
- How do you integrate this new information into your own marketing?
- How do you look at the wider picture and factor that into your marketing?
- What unique perspectives of your coaching world do you have to share that will help with your marketing?
- What do you know from being an expert of working with your niche, that helps you build a program around the start, middle and end of that coaching issue?
- How do you show in your marketing that part of the work you do is about new perspectives?
- What are the key learnings that clients who work with you get? How can you use this to market your business more effectively?
- What are YOU aware of in your business of what goes well? How can you keep this awareness to support you when you are finding things challenging?
